‘Architecture is the Beauty and Art of creating Objects, Forms and Spaces for the next generations’

Hoevertsz ArchiDesign N.V. is an experienced and dynamic architectural firm with creative and innovative ideas and designs. As Architects and Engineers, our goal is to encourage our clients to be as open-minded as possible. To be able to think ‘outside the box’, and to foster new and creative ideas in order to interpret their dreams, and to give them a proper foundation with our designs, to convert those dreams into a reality.

Hoevertsz ArchiDesign was founded in 1996 by the Managing Director and Architect MSc/ ir. Orlando Hoevertsz in a small office building. A few short years later, in the year 2000 it renovated and expanded into ‘Novare Building’, where Hoevertsz ArchiDesign is currently located. The name ‘Novare’, which stands for ‘Innovation’ in Latin, was chosen for the many transitions the building has undergone during the past decades and coincides with the founding design philosophy of Hoevertsz ArchiDesign.

Hoevertsz ArchiDesign is one of the leading architectural firms on Aruba.

Master Planning

Master Planning provides a road map for all future development decisions on a project through a long-range plan that balances and harmonizes all elements. This process is done at the very beginning of the project and helps you define and unify the vision for the space.

Architectural Design

Architectural Design is both the process and the product of planning, designing, and constructing buildings, spaces, or other structures, with the aim of having a combination of aesthetic appealing buildings and everyday needs of people and use of technology to create livable and/or workable environments.
An architect is the one in charge of the architectural design as they work with space and elements to create a coherent and functional structure. There are several phases involved in the design process for an architectural project, with each phase being very important to the overall look, feel, and safety of the project.
Architectural designs begin in conjunction with the principal, with a program, a list of the various uses contemplated for a space and the areas of each space. The preparatory processes for the design of any building are complicated, and require preliminary studies of such matters as durability, sustainability, quality, money, and compliance with local laws.

Interior – Commercial

Interior Design is the process through which the interiors of buildings or homes are designed, created by structural boundaries, and taking all aspects of the human uses into consideration.
Interior design elements include space, line, forms, light, color, texture, and pattern; and keeping them balanced is the key to creating an aesthetically pleasing interior.
Interior design projects will benefit from a systematic progression through a series of design phases. From the initial general terms identifying the client’s nature of the project and the purpose of the space, space adjacencies, circulation patterns and spatial and activity relationships, to ‘bubble diagrams’, up to design and documentation, and execution.

Structural Engineering

Structural Building Engineering includes all structural engineering related to the design of buildings and is closely affiliated with the architecture of the building. The role of a structural engineer today involves a significant understanding of both static and dynamic loading and the structures that are available to resist them.
The structural design for a building must ensure that the building can stand up safely, able to function without excessive deflections or movements, and it must also ensure that the design is practically buildable within acceptable manufacturing tolerances of the materials. It must allow the architecture to work, and the building services to fit within the building and function like air conditioning, ventilation, smoke extract, electrics, lighting, etc.

General Landscaping

Landscape architects design attractive and functional public parks, gardens, playgrounds, residential areas, private backyards, and public spaces. They also plan the locations of buildings, roads, walkways, shrubs, and trees within these environments.
Landscape designs elements are the fundamentals of composition- proportion, mass, form, line, texture, and color- that serve as guidelines to arrange or organize the features to create an aesthetically pleasing or beautiful landscape.

Project Management

Construction Project Management is the process of managing construction projects by leading the work of a team to achieve all the project goals within the given constraints such as scope, time, and budget, as usually described in the project documentation. Furthermore, the challenge is to optimize the allocation of necessary inputs and apply them to meet pre-defined objectives.
A construction project is temporary in nature, designed to produce a unique product, has a defined beginning and end, is undertaken to meet unique goals and objectives, and is typically to bring about beneficial change or added value.
The general success of any project depends on how well four key aspects are aligned with the contextual dynamics affecting the project, these are referred to as the four P’s being Plan (the planning and forecasting activities), Process (the overall approach to all activities and project governance), People (including dynamics of how they collaborate and communicate) and Power (lines of authority, decision-makers, organograms, policies for implementation and the like).

Project Supervision

Construction Project Supervision is the process of ensuring that the project is built in accordance with the requirements of the contract documents, approved drawings, specifications, building codes, and applicable local codes within the agreed limits of time, costs, scope, and quality.
Professional construction supervision is specifically tailored to safeguard the successful completion of the project, by experienced personnel that can effectively control and supervise every aspect of the construction work, that can complete and issue all documents, certificates, and declarations correctly, and can advise on additional work and payments, execute document management, and prepare periodic status reports
With a proactive approach to prevent problems during the construction phase and enable the contractor to function as efficiently as possible, a close involvement and intensive monitoring of the construction process, in practice lead to the best results.
